Great job, Cayelle! For the month of April, Kiwanis recognized a 3rd grader as our TERRIFIC kid. Cayelle John from Ms. Klusek’s classroom was nominated for her take charge attitude when it comes to helping out.
During snack time for Prospect’s power hour program, Cayelle noticed that there was a lot of food and wrappers on the floor. She asked if she could get a broom and dustpan to help clean it all up. Then on another day during art class, she noticed a pile of pencil shavings on the floor. Again, without being asked, she began to clean them up. On each occasion, Cayelle demonstrated her thoughtfulness and leadership as she went above and beyond to clean up shared spaces.
Ms. Casey Cutting, Prospect’s Art Teacher, stated she is so proud of her initiative and drive. Keep up the amazing work, Cayelle!
We had the incredible opportunity to meet with some local leaders from Salamanca at our Kiwanis meeting last night! Our goal was to find ways where our Kiwanis Club could best support current and future local projects that would benefit the youth of our area. A wonderful dialogue occurred and we are grateful to have had the chance to hear about the many amazingly positive projects that are or will be happening in our area. We'd like to thank all of the leaders who stopped by, all of our members who helped facilitate these inspiring conversations, and Myers for the great food and for hosting us. … See MoreSee Less
Congratulations, Kaliyah! Our Kiwanis TERRIFIC Kid for the month of March is Kaliyah Wolf, a 2nd grader from Ms. Reynolds’ class!
Kaliyah was spending time with her Papa when his car broke down. With two days left before payday, he didn’t have the money to buy a new battery. Without hesitation, Kaliyah offered some of her birthday money and savings so he could get the battery he needed and make it to work the next day.
Her Papa didn’t want to take her money, but Kaliyah insisted.
Kaliyah, you truly have your priorities straight, and your kindness and generosity are such a wonderful example to others. We are so proud of you and your very thoughtful choice! 🙂👏 … See MoreSee Less
